New face at Lumison, a respected name in datacentre industry .

Since the opening of their first datacentre in 2004, Lumison has taken proud in a 100% uptime record at their Tier III Edinburgh facility. August 2007 saw the acquisition of a second datacentre in London to service increasing demand in the South East of England, for clients unwilling or unable to locate server infrastructure outwith this region.

With this infrastructure growth, Lumison is proud to see Jack McArdle join the team, responsible for managing these two datacentres and our infrastructure plans for the future. Having years of experience in managing critical datacentre infrastructure in the corporate and public sectors, Jack is recognised as an authority in this market, having been shortlisted as finalist for Data Centres Europe (DCE) Manager of the Year in 2007.

As such, Lumison are pleased to see Jack McArdle already represent Lumison at a Tier 1 panel alongside Microsoft at the upcoming DCE2008 conference in London. Aydin Kurt-Elli, CEO of Lumison said of the appointment, “Jack is a great addition to our growing team, and we are delighted that he wants to join in our ambitious plans for the future in this exciting and fast changing market. Whether you look at the commercial models for metering power or datacentre carbon footprinting, all of us in the industry have much work ahead of us. I am pleased to say that Lumison is now well placed to meet those challenges head on!”
