| How to reset an account password. |
Note that the following passwords cannot be reset via the customer area. If you require one of these to be reset please contact Lumison technical support requesting a password reset and quoting the account type/username so that we can action the request for you.
ADSL, Windows FTP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL and Webtrends.
Other passwords can be reset as follows, but note that changing a system account password will affect dial access, ftp and email logins.

Log into the customer area using your email address and password. (Your customer area password can be reset automatically if you do not remember it).

Click on the Manage existing services link.

- Click Edit Service link next to the service that requires the password reset.

This should take you to a page where you can set up virus and spam scanning and change the account password.

- Enter the new password in the Change Password field and again in the Confirm Password field (Note that the password should be at least 8 characters long, containing at least one uppercase/lowercase letter and number).
- Press the Submit button to make the change active.
- Your new password should take effect within 10 minutes.
